1. Definitions

“We”, “us” and “our” refer to Pleats & You. “You” and “your” refer to the person browsing the website or placing an order. “Website” means pleatsandu.com and all of its subdomains. “Products” means the garments and accessories offered for sale on the website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to place an order. If you are under 18, you may use the website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who will be responsible for the order.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and the one-time passwords sent to your registered mobile number or email confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please tell us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation. You agree that the information you supply — including your name, address, contact details and any measurements — is accurate, current and complete.

4. Products, measurements and customisation

Many of our products are made to order against measurements and design selections that you submit. You are responsible for the accuracy of those measurements and selections. Once production has begun they cannot be amended.

Our garments use handloom and hand-finished textiles. Variation in colour, weave, print placement, embroidery density and fall is inherent to these fabrics and is not a defect. Product photographs reflect the product as closely as reproduction allows, but colours may render differently across screens.

5. Pricing and payment

• All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees by default and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices shown in other currencies are indicative conversions; the amount debited may differ marginally with the exchange rate applied by your bank.
• Shipping charges, where payable, are shown separately at checkout before payment is taken.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials.
• Prices and offers are subject to change without notice. Where a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to a technical or typographic error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

6. Order acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we confirm the order by email. We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion — including where stock is unavailable, where pricing was published in error, where the delivery address falls outside our serviceable area, or where we suspect fraudulent activity. Where we cancel a confirmed order, you are refunded in full.

7. Shipping, cancellation and refunds

The full terms are set out in our Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy and our Shipping & Delivery Policy, both of which form part of these terms. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the website for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, or any account that is not yours.
• Introduce any virus, malicious code or automated scraping tool, or otherwise interfere with the operation of the website.
• Resell, reproduce or commercially exploit any part of the website or its content without our written permission.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the website — including its design, layout, text, photography, graphics, product designs, trade marks and logos — is owned by or licensed to Pleats & You and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from it without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use may give rise to a claim for damages and may constitute a criminal offence.

10. Third-party links

The website may link to third-party sites for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, including loss of profit or loss of opportunity, arising out of your use of or inability to use the website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay in or failure to perform our obligations where that delay or failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, flood, fire, epidemic, strike, civil unrest, government restriction, courier failure or failure of telecommunications or power networks.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with any order placed on the website.

14. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that governs that order. Please check this page periodically; the revision date is shown at the top.

Any complaint concerning the website, an order, or these terms may be addressed to our Grievance Officer.
